NFS getattr failes.........

I have been having problems recently with two Sun-4/xxx servers. The
servers are connected together along with 3 other Sun3/xxx servers on two
separate local area networks connected by a LAN bridge. Approximately
every two hours the two Sun 4/xxx servers will become invisible to the
rest of the network.  After up to two minutes in this state they will
recover to be back in normal operation.

I have tried to monitor the packets on the Sun 4/xxx section of the
network only to find that their aren't any. This would explain the
problem. But why do the systems pull themselves back together as though
nothing had happenned.

Has anyone out there had this problem and does anyone know how to fix it?
