This is almost correct.  The t option of install boot is for "testing".
This is not very clear in the manual, but the t option really means to
only display messages as if you were installing the boot block, but don't
really do it.  The net effect is that the boot block is not installed and
the system won't boot.  Sun really should fix the manual on this one.
