Getting hostid before getting host

We recently ordered a Sun 4/330 to serve as a workgroup server.  One of
the 3rd-party software packages which we intend to use on that host comes
keyed to a particular hostid.  You tell them a hostid, they send you a
tape with the software to run on that host.  OK, no problem...as long as
you already have the host in-house when you go to order the software.
Since that wasn't the case here, I tried to get Sun to tell me the hostid
of the 4/330 which we would be receiving.  I thought it should be a fairly
simple request, but apparently not so.  I was told that Sun had no
established means by which to fulfill such a request.  Has anyone else had
experience trying to get this type of information from Sun?  Was it
possible?  How?  To whom did you have to talk?  Thanks for any replies.
