A ypchfn without passwords

Does anyone know of a replacement for ypchfn that doesn't require the user
to type a password? I manage a network of suns for undergraduates and
would like them to enter their real names into my first time configuration
login script. However when confronted with ypchfn's password prompt most
just press return. It would be much better if ypchfn didn't require a
password (like chfn).
