In Sun publication number 813-2032-05 (SunLink MCP Configuration
Procedures), on page 3, it reads:

Jumper settings: J1501 Selects RS232 or RS449 for Port 0
                   J1502 " " " " " 1

Last week, we contacted our Sun representative to obtain the pinout on the
DB-37 connectors, if a change to RS232 is carried out. The reason for this
being that I need an extra RS232 port. Yes, I know, there are inexpensive
convertors on the market, but if I can get the same result by changing a
jumper setting...

The Sun representative replied that it was NOT possible to convert ports 0
and 1 to RS232, and that there was some error in the manuals. True or not
? Maybe he misread something ; maybe WE misread something ? All comments
welcome, by private mail or to SUN-SPOTS.
