SLIP through terminal servers - does it work?

I would like to know if any of the versions of SLIP for SunOS will work
through a terminal server. That is, I want to dial into a TCP/IP terminal
server, connect to a Sun, login, and then start the SLIP protocol. The
terminal server that I have available does not support SLIP directly, but
it does provide an 8-bit clean data path (I can run X/Y/ZMODEM and Kermit
with no problems).

Thanks for any advice you can provide.
