I have a sparc470 running sunOS 4.1.1 that I just installed.
It is giving me difficulties with /var/spool/mail (I think).
I have *one* account (*my* users account) which can user "mail"
properly to read incoming mail. That is... I can type "mail" and if I
have mail, am able to read it. All other accounts have a problem. When
another user types "mail" to read his/her mail, it takes a very long
time for the list of mail to show up like:
<machine1-4> mail
Mail version SMI 4.0 Thu Oct 11 12:59:09 PDT 1990 Type ? for help.
"/usr/spool/mail/messina": 70 messages 2 unread

>U 69 buclin Tue May 28 14:07 12/313
U 70 buclin Tue May 28 14:07 12/313
&
and then upon typing a number like "68" or "69" it bombs out.
&69
<machine1-5> 69: Command not found.
what should I be checking so that I can solve this problem?!
My users are "mail-frustrated!!!"
/frustrated
