Don't do image backup with CD-ROM mounted.

I decided to murder my RS/6000 and attempt a full backup and restore process
while I didn't have much to lose, just to see if I could recover from a full
system loss.

So, I did a image backup (via smit startup), a diskette boot, and image
restore (following the "How to Perform Image Installation" on Info). Things
went okay until the 'Turn the keyswitch to Normal, and Reboot.' step. It
never returned.

It took a few days and several full reinstallations to troubleshoot, but the
bottom line is the that the image backup STOPS without warning if you have
your Info CDROM mounted. So, the backup has quite a bit missing, and system
startup hung. (The bug is in the find command...)

I called IBM support, and they reported that it should be fixed in the July
update, so until then, MAKE SURE YOUR CDROM IS NOT MOUNTED if you rely on
an image backup for anything.

Steve

(PS. I am doing my backup now. Keep your fingers crossed with me... I am
getting tired of this.)
