apE on RS/6000?

Has anyone been able to bring up apE 2.0 on an IBM RS/6000? It
appeared to compile OK (once a localtime declaration was fixed up) but
when I attempt to execute wrench I get an X protocal error in
X_CreateCursor. Does anyone have a fix for this? Thanks!
