8-Port-Adapter problems under 3003

Since we updated to 3003, our 8-Port-RS232-Adapter shows a
very strange behaviour: it will pause output randomly for
a random timeframe, typically between 3 and 10 seconds,
rendering it almost completely unusable for terminal or
modem use. Everytime this "pause"-condition occurs, the
following entry is written to the error log:

What gives? I already opened a PMR (#77394), but it will probably
take the support people some time to get back to me. Is this a
known problem? Is there a workaround for it? I already tried to
replace rsdd with the one from 3002, to no avail ... diag doesn't
think it's a hardware problem, BTW. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
