X-Windows on the SE/30. Also "Launch Blues".

  X-Windows on the SE/30 seems like a great idea until
you actual try to use it. The 9" screen is just too small
even using the smallest reasonable screen font, 6x10. If you
want to add a big screen, you'll have to use up the slot 
where your Ethernet card would normally go. Does anyone 
manufacture a combo card? Is anybody out there using one 
of the external Ethernet boxes that hooks up to the SCSI or
serial port? Is the forthcoming version of X for MacOS better
at dealing with these limitations?

 I am unhappy that the A/UX toolbox will not allow Mac applications
launched under A/UX access to the serial ports. I can't run any
of those nifty Mac terminal emulators [Microphone, Versaterm, Red Ryder,
etc...]. Does A/UX provide an alternative, I mean, besides cu? 

 Does anybody know what to expect for A/UX version 2.0?
