uucp on aux 1.1.1

Hello.  I seem to be having a bit of trouble with uucp on aux 1.1.1 .
I was wondering if anyone out there had it working, and if so, what sorts
of mechanations you had to go through to get it to work.  Please help!!
oh, if it makes a difference we have a telebit and a hayes modem at out
disposal at the moment.
