rfmail on esix system

I'm interested in hearing from any others who run 'rfmail' on
an Esix system.  I wasn't able to compile it -- it tells me one
of my Esix include files has "syntax errors!"  (don't have filename
with me).

Also, I'm about to embark on compiling "cnews".  Anyone done this,
and if so, are there any special things I will need to know or watch
out for?
