Help! I lost my lost inode fix!! (and I'm lost without it)

Rats!! Recently I rebuilt my kernel to do a variety of things, like
remove weitek support, fp emulation (got 387, why keep emulation), xt
driver (no blit), add graphics support (no can do with DosMerge), etc.
At least now, the kernel is 25% smaller.

Well, somewhere, somehow, someway that #@*$&^ lost inode problem is
back. Digging all over creation for the backup that has the wonderful
patch for Microport 3.0e and I can't find it. I thought an object in
/etc/atconf/modules was patched and that problem would never be back.
Could it be that the patches depended on the modules in the opening
paragraph in some way? Naaa... Looking with ls -logsd, at directory
/etc/atconf/modules/kernel we find;

total 1093
   8 -rw-r--r-- 1 4085 May 30 21:24 space.o
  19 -rw-r--r-- 1 9067 Sep 9 1989 space.c
   7 -rw-rw-rw- 1 3372 Sep 9 1989 start.o
  91 -rw-rw-rw- 1 45633 Sep 9 1989 locore.o
 422 -rw-rw-rw- 1 213129 Sep 9 1989 os.o
  42 -rw-rw-rw- 1 20951 Sep 9 1989 io.o
  83 -rw-r--r-- 1 41496 Jul 18 1988 locore.o.dbg
 421 -rw-r--r-- 1 212829 Jul 18 1988 os.o.dbg

Probably Sept 9, 1989 was the inode patch. The .dbg are the originals?
Naturally, May 30 was the last patch date. This *should* be ok...

Would anyone be so kind as to send the patches or their estimation of
what has transpired? I believe I used the patches from Bill Davidson for
Microport 3.0e last time and they worked like a charm. Hey Bill, ya got
a minute?:-) Thanks very much!

Cheers!
