looking glass on isc 2.2

I'm having a problem installing the looking glass package for ISC 2.2.
after it is installed, I cannot get the vls server to start.  I get
the error: vls data directory not found.  damned if I know where it is
supposed to be...no info in the release notes or users manual.

help!
