Data exchange between Coherent 3.1.0 and SysV386

Once I read some articles that Coherent is not able to read or
write diskettes created by other UNIX-Systems, for example SCO,
Interactive and so on.
I believed that and copied from 386/ix to DOS, from DOS to Coherent.
But now I tried cpio and tar on the raw device and it worked perfectly.
Now I use cpio to exchange data between my 386/ix and Coherent.
When you read with 386/ix Coherent diskettes it's just a little bit
slower because Coherent formats the diskettes with a default Interleave
of 1 : 6.
Therefore: Never trust any articles before you tried it yourself.
A lot of fun with Coherent
