Hello, sdb/dbx gurus?

I am in need of the help of a 'sdb/dbx' guru (a wizard will do as well :-).
I am enhancing a UNIX version of a simulation language, and I would like to
have sdb and dbx understand it's internal formats. I have some info on
'.stab' lines, but there seems to be much more to them than my documentation
is willing to divulge. I've asked for help locally, but sdb and dbx seem to
be "black arts".... If it matters, I need vax-specific info. Any comments,
etc. about using sdb or dbx with non-C languages would also be appreciated.

Under BSD 4.2, it appears that the languages dbx groks are hard-coded. Is this
the same for BSD 4.3?

Thanks in advance,
	Paul
