Southwind Software's AFFINITY OA package

I am considering the purchase of Southwind Software's AFFINITY office
automation package to run in tandem with a PROGRESS-based order-processing/
production-database/AR system, and I was unfortunately unable to attend
the UNIX show at Jake Javits, where it was being demonstrated, for a number of
reasons. As a result, I'm requesting, and will greatly appreciate, feedback
from Net_Personages on the following subjects:

1) Informed opinion and experience with existing Southwind products, like
GRAFSMAN, TACTICIAN, EZGRAF and EZDRAW, and with Southwind as a company -

2) Impressions of those who saw AFFINITY at the Unix show - how does it compare
with other products that serve a similar function, like Conductor Software's
ACT! (with which I am quite impressed, but which is unavailable for Unix) -
also, what other Unix products are there with which you may have experience,
and may have recommendations to make regarding, that provide the sort of
   integrated Communications/Time Management/Graphics/Spreadsheet/WP capa-
bilities that Southwind advertises for AFFINITY?

Please cc: to tbetz at spies.UUCP and e_e_cummings at philabs!citasim.UUCP, as spies
will be going down for a week or so for hardware upgrades, and I really will
appreciate feedback on this question.

Of course, if there is sufficient interest, I will be happy to summarize
responses to the net. And if mail bounces, please do not hesitate to post...
I may have read-only net.access for that week.

Thank you.
