Weird things in csh (and kernel?)

It is behaving that way because it was loaded that way.  On our 11/44,
running 2.9bsd, any program compiled with "-i" or "-n" will display that
behavior.  Try looking at the man entry of "ld" to get hints on what
options might do this.
