Unix System III, Plexus P25, AT&T 3B1

Can someone tell me what the differences are between Unix System III,
and Unix System V and BSD 4.3? I just want to know what things were
added to Unix when System V and BSD 4.3 came into being compared to
System III.

Also, can someone tell me anything about a Plexus P25? Like
features and availability of support? Any information at all would be useful,
since I have a chance to buy one of these beasts, and could be my first
"home unix machine". I'd also like information on a Convergent Miniframe
and S4/Safari, just out of curiousity. Did Convergent design the AT&T
3B1? Was the company bought out by AT&T, or just the design for the 3B1?

Minix is (I've heard) Unix System III, Version 7. "Version 7"
seems to refer to a revision of AT&T's books on Unix. When people talk
about System Vr4, "r" meaning release or revision, does it have the same
meaning as "version"?

When replying, please use email rather than followup, so I don't miss
anything.

Thanks,
