Please, please, please pardon my ignorance, but I need some ideas...

I want to implement a system that will use at least 100 phone lines
to let many, many users access one body of data on a central
	system.

My experience says that a UNIX system is the only practical approach.

Now, I've used plenty of UNIX systems, but I've never bought one. What
should I be looking for? How powerful does the system need to be to
accommodate this many users? What if I went to 500 users?

How's that for a neophistic bunch of questions?

	Thanks for your help!

	d
