X-server documentation, source

Looking for documentation and source for X-server running on UNIX system V. 
The intent is to port X-server from UNIX system V to DOS. Any details
about documentation on deisgn of X-server and porting X-server would be
greatly appreciated. Finally, if this is the wrong group, pardon me and pass
me the X-server related newsgroups. Thanks a million in advance.
