in search of a news moderator

    Sounds like the "backbone" line in your /usr/lib/news/mailpaths file
(assuming your running Bnews) is not properly set.  Have your news
administator check and correct this.  (Backbone needs to point to one
of the Usenet backbone sites.  These sites (using mailing aliases) handle
the forwarding of postings to the correct moderator.)
