Mail routing fun

Hi. Sorry if this seems a trivial question, but I really have tried to
resolve it meself. I've read the docs for sendmail...

Anyhow, I have my mail forwarded from our gateway machine to my
machine here on the local net. My machine can't talk to anyone in the
outside world, but the gateway machine can. So if I get mail and try
to reply to it, it alway bounces because my local net can't reach the
outside world except through our gateway.

How can I tell my router to route all replies through the gateway from
here? It doesn't seem to behave the way I think it should.

Please reply through e-mail.
