UNIX <--> IBM 36

I need to transfer information between an IBM System 36 and a UNIX site.
I know nothing about the IBM software environment in question.
The UNIX site has a Unisys XE550, running SysV 2.0, and an SCO XENIX/386 box.

They only need to transfer a small amount of information; if Kermit is
available for the -36, that might be sufficient. Something automated
is necessary, for unattended daily use, but it needn't be fast.
Diskettes are even possible, if the -36 could talk to a PC, then the PC to
UNIX.

Any clues?
Anybody want a UNIX/RPG job in Australia?
