modem on terminal line...

Rich, this is what you need to do...  NOTHING!

If your gettydefs are set up correctly, all you need to do is send breaks...

Ie..  My dumb terminal is now running at 9600...  if I hit break (from login)
it now goes to 4800....

Once I reach 300 and press break again, im at 38400....

So the BREAK key will switch your line speed.... thus..

Plug in your modem, and when you dial up press break on your terminal
until you get the  login:  !!!
