Programs compiled under xenix run s

I'm not an expert but to my experiance the only reason that a Xenix program
would run slower on a Unix machine would be if the Xenix system in question was
of the 286 flavor while the Unix was on a 386. Since the Xenix executable
wouldn't be 386 optimized it *would* run slower than it *could* if recompiled
on the 386.
