The best Answer I got was from Michael J. Corrigan at UCSD.EDU.
Short and it did the trick.   Thanx Michael.
So this posting is for those who might have wondered the same question.
This is mostly helpful for News Admins who need documentation on this usenet
stuff to pass out to other users.  I put my output in a directory and
referenced it for users to read. 

  $ nroff tmac.n install.mn | col -b > output_file <cr>
