inode limit in SCO/Unix.

We are running news on an SCO Unix machine. The news spool partition
is a large area of about 800MB. Unfortunately, long before the disk
fills up, the filesystem runs out of inodes.

A quick look at mkfs(ADM) informs me that the maximum # of inodes that
it can make is 65500.

Is there a way around this limit, short of splitting up the disk into
4 smaller partitions?

Thanks.
