Empirically, telnet (on SunOS 4.1) clears the 8th bit of characters that I send it. This is annoying when running emacs or bash. Is there a way to get it to pass all 8 bits? (None is documented.) -- David J. MacKenzie <djm at eng.umd.edu> <djm at ai.mit.edu>
