  No, it isn't like INFO-UNIX.

  The INFO-UNIX mailing list is gatewayed to the newsgroup
comp.unix.questions.  This means that mail sent to the mailing list is posted
to the newsgroup automatically, and postings to the newsgroup are sent out (in
digests, I believe) to the members of the mailing list.

  This means that people who do not have access to the Usenet can participate
in INFO-UNIX.

  On the other hand, comp.sys.m88k is not (as far as I can tell) gatewayed to
any mailing list.  This means that the only way to access it is through the
Usenet.  If you do not have access to the Usenet (a.k.a. Network News, a.k.a
NetNews), then you do not have access to comp.sys.m88k.

  I do not know if your site has any sort of Usenet access, and I doubt that
the vast majority of people on this list know, since that is something that is
very specific to your site.  You will have to check with your site
administrators about that.
