Bugs in VP/ix under Interactive Ver. 2.2

Here are 2 rather bad bugs (or maybe 2 aspects of the same bug) in
Interactive's version of VP/ix. Does anyone know how to fix them? I'm
running Intaractive Unix version 2.2, and VP/ix version 1.02.00.

(1) If you modify a file in a dosmounted unix file system -- say by
editing it -- the *touch* date doesn't change. But the *creation*
date (what "ls -lc" shows) does change.

(2) If you modify a file so that its length becomes shorter -- that is
should become shorter -- the length of the file does not change.
So future accesses of the file see garbage at the end. (This is
particularly annoying when you get an invalid object file.)

If you test for these bugs with an editor, make sure that it does *not*
back up of your work, since most editors rename the original file into
the backup and create a new file for the edited version.

Many Thanks:
