Archive BBS? (was: Tar Tape problems)

        I had a similar problem with the archive drivers for Microport
Unix/386.  (this was two years ago) I finally discovered that if the
machine was quiet for a couple of days, the drive would come back to
life.  Really sucked.

        When I told them about it, They were rather amazed that it
existed, but had no plans to try and fix it.  Fortunately, I left that
company, and now run an ISC box, that works quite realiably.

- they now have a bbs running so you can download new drivers

        Any more information about this BBS, short of my trying to call
Archive.  (I really hate trying to call there, since I almost always get
offered a call back, which I miss, etc..  )
