Help with a window package

I'm currently developing a dedicated monitoring system which is
to run in a Unix enviroment. Now, here is my query -- which windowing
package would be the best to use? The user interface will be able to
display bar and pie graphs, as well as histograms.. It will be menu and
point/click driven, with updates every second or 2. As many as 20 - 30
graphs will have to be updated each time. Hence speed and rational
graphics calls are at a premium, while power is less so. Space is also
important, for I'd like to keep the system RAM at 8 megs or less.

Second query. Access to the database stored on a 300 meg drive will
be contantly occurring. Now in regular DOS, everything freezes while the
drive is being accessed, tho there are cludges around this. Is ATT Unix
up to the task?

	Many thanks in advance.

Stefan
