bootpd and bootptab

In the Ultrix 3.0 distribution there is an executable /usr/etc/bootpd.
I assume this will do the bootp protocol but I can't find it in any
Ultrix manual. A strings(1) on bootpd shows that is wants a file
called /etc/bootptab but I have no idea what the format of this file
should be. There is also a line for bootp in /etc/inetd.conf that
is commented out in the distribution.

I would like to run bootp so a PC on my network running NCSA telnet
can find its IP address. Does anyone have any idea how to set up
the /etc/bootptab file?
