HELP...
I am running a network comprising of VAXes running VMS, a Mvax II running
Ultrix and a slew of other machines running Unix. All the DEC equipment uses
DECnet. We are using the DECnet Ultrix gateway software on the Mvax to allow
the VAXes to communicate with the Unix machines as well as the rest of the
internet community.
The problem I am having is with the sendmail configuration file on the MVax.
Whenever it recieves a message from one of the VMS hosts it simply puts the
machine name of the sender (which in my case is the same as the DECnet node
name) and not the entire address. I suppose that this is a simple fix to the
sendmail configuration file but as I am not a Unix person/guru I cannot figure
out what particular ruleset needs to be modified and how so.
I would really appreciate it if anyone out in NETLAND that is running a similar
configuration could mail me a copy of their sendmail.cf file. Any hints or
suggestions would also be nice. Please do not post replies to this newsgroup
as I do not read it too often.
