Emacs on RISC-Ultrix - Problem (X11-Window)

Dear Net.users,
I have a little, but annoying problem with emacs running under X (DEC)-
windows. The incremental search does not work as it should - I have to type
every character 3 times (the second time I get a beep), if the emacs is
running in a X-Window. I'm using a DECstation 3100....
