British readers are able to receive biz.dec and biz.dec.ip. Biz newsgroups
have been carried by the UK backbone, the University of Kent at Canterbury
(ukc) for over a year. There was a problem with biz.dec[.ip] because
mcsun (the European backbone) had not created the groups. (Nothing to do
with it being mcSUN I suppose :-) ).

This information comes from Ian Harding (news at ukc.ac.uk), the UKnet news person,
and is therefore authoritative.

Sites should ensure that they have the biz entry in their sys file, e.g.
cf-cm:cs,world,alt,inet,comp,sci,news,rec,soc,talk,misc,eunet,uk,net,mod,usrgroup,gnu,bionet,unix-pc,bit,biz,pubnet,to::

The following biz groups are known at Kent:

biz.clarinet 00021 00021 y
biz.clarinet.sample 01689 01630 y
biz.comp.hardware 00028 00028 y
biz.comp.services 00007 00007 y
biz.comp.software 00016 00016 y
biz.comp.telebit 00028 00028 y
biz.config 00009 00009 y
biz.control 00000 00000 y
biz.dec 00000 00001 y
biz.dec.ip 00000 00001 y
biz.misc 00017 00017 y
biz.stolen 00000 00000 y
biz.test 00027 00027 y

Hm. We also have this group here in Cardiff,
biz.dec.workstations 0000000000 0000000001 y
I'll send a query back to Ian about that.
