4.3 syslogd on a DECstation 3100

I would really like to get a 4.3 syslogd running on our DECstation 3100.
The version off of uunet.uu.net does not appear to come close to compiling
on the 3100.

Has anyone gotten this to work?  If so, I'd appreciate it if you could drop
me a note.
