Intermittent TCP/IP problem

WARNING: novice question ahead!

I am using a DS/5000 that intermittently refuses incoming TELNET and FTP
requests.  If you go to the console you can always log in.  Sometimes
the problem goes away all by itself, other times the system must be
rebooted to clear it.


When it is in the mode where it won't accept incoming requests, outgoing
ones still work.

Maybe someone could give me some pointers as to where to look (system
parameters, ???)?
