g++ 1.39 help needed.

I am still trying to get gcc-1.39 up on our dec 5000 machine.  When trying to
link cc1plus, I get an undeclared symbol of debug_tree.  What do I do about
this?  I see where this function is used in a few places; but, can't find
where it is actually declared.
