Hi! I'm new to sysop work on ULTRIX and would like some help...
I have a serious problem! We got a MicroVax II running Ultrix-32
V3.0 (Rev 64) UWS V2.0 System #2.

The disk system is mounted like this:
Filesyste Total kbytes kbytes %
node kbytes used free used Mounted on
/dev/ra0a 7407 4973 1694 75% /
/dev/ra0g 122598 89764 20575 81% /usr
/dev/ra1b 15743 13889 280 98% /var
/dev/ra1g 41639 27989 9487 75% /usr/users

The problem is that the the directory /var/adm is not accessable.
The directory simply can't be read OR written to. That of course
is creating major problems for the system which responds with error
messages on the console.

What will be the easiest way to deal with this problem? Will the read/write
attempt from the system slow down the overall disc performance?
Is this something Digital should take care of?

Please respond using email.
