Porting to Ultrix - HELP!!!

I've built TeX (3.0) and GNU Emacs 18.55 as well as billions and billions
(hi Carl!) of programs from the net, with no problems at all, on Ultrix
RISC machines. There's no real difference between Ultrix/RISC and
Ultrix/VAX.

Any program that is sloppy about data alignment should compile and run, but
will generate a lot of unaligned access traps (and cause the machine to
slow).

If you can be more specific about the TeX problems you're having I might be
of more help.
