Getting a hayes 9600 to work

  Could someone who's hooked a Hayes 9600 to a DecStation 2100 (or
  even 3100) send me how they did it? We've hacked on it for two days
  and one modem refuses to talk to the other (even when they reverse
  roles, the reverse modem won't do it).
