I keep forgetting that news goes home on lines starting with '.'.  The
previous article died prematurely in the middle of some diff listings
of tty driver changes to fix a suspected problem with TANDEM mode.
Rather than re-submit them to news, if anyone out there is interested,
mail me and I will send them.
