Several people on have requested coppies of the replies to my
query for 11/780 UWCS support under unix. The 2 notes that follow

Two BTL TM's on VAX-11/780 Microprogramming:
	1) TM81-11353-1, "A General-Purpose Microassembler for
		Generating VAX-11/780 Microcode", G. K. Swanson.
This TM describes a microassembler, written in C (not using LEX
or YACC), that is similar to DEC's MICRO2 microassembler -
it has been used by me and the author of the following TM.

	2) TM81-59473-2, "Microcoding the VAX-11/780 Writable Control
		Store", R. H. Hardin.
This TM describes the VAX-11/780 micromachine layout in general
and gives some examples/results of a couple of micro-
	   programmed applications.

Subject: vax microprogramming TM's

There was a micro-compiler written here by a Richard Tuck
as a masters thesis. In fact, the reason the floppy support
was put in relatively early in the game was for us to rewrite
micro-code files.

You can get it as UCB/ERL Memorandum No. M79/65 (september '79).

The lady was rude to me on the phone. I asked if we might
save some paper work and just have it mailed out. She said that
there was a copying charge of 10 cents/page (for 138 pages) is $13.80.
She would have to have a check made out to the regents, (intercampus
funds vouchers will not do), BEFORE she would mail it out.

You must send the check to:

	UC ERL Publications office
	433 Cory Hall. Berkeley 94720
