We at the Wang Institute find ourselves in the situation where we must
run Berkeley unix some of the time and VMS some of the time. Although
it is clearly a pain to do this, we must. (There are packages which
we need which run under one but not the other and we cannont port for
various reasons.) In trying to make this situation is painless as
possible we are going to attempt to have the unix file system on
one set of disks, and the VMS file system on another set of disks.
Both sets will be powered up at all times. The ideas is to have
utilities under each system that will have the ability to read,
but not write, the other system's file system.

Does anyone know if this kind of thing has ever been done before?
Any help or guidence will be much appreciated.
