RFCs 884 and 885 Now Available

Please note a change in procedures for Request for Comments.  A new 
directory called <RFC> has been established at the NIC.  All new RFCs 
will be placed only in this directory, and all old RFCs (that were ever 
on line) have also been moved to this directory.

New Requests for Comments are now available from the Network Information
Center in the <RFC> directory at SRI-NIC.

RFC 884:

   Title:   Telnet Terminal Type Option 
   Author:  M. Solomon

   This RFC specifies a standard for the ARPA Internet community.  It 
   specifies a method for exchanging terminal type information in the 
   Telnet protocol.

RFC 885:

   Title:   Telnet End of Record Option 
   Author:  J. Postel
   Pages :  2

      pathname: <RFC>RFC885.TXT

   This RFC specifies a standard for the ARPA Internet community.  It 
   specifies a method for marking the end of records in data transmitted
   on Telnet connections.

Public access files may be copied from the <RFC> directory at SRI-NIC 
via FTP with username ANONYMOUS and password GUEST.

Submissions for Requests for Comments should be sent to POSTEL at USC-ISIF.

Requests to be added to or deleted from this distribution list should be
sent to NIC at SRI-NIC.
