As I recall, there was a long discussion of "Should you or should
you not bring the system down for dumps?". I would like to know
the answer to this question. At the place I used to work, we never
brought the system down, and never had a problem. Here, we bring
the system down every day for dumps. What are the chances of
actually bashing a dump tape or somthing if you dump while the system
is up. (we use the dump that comes with 4.1) I realise that
dump is slower with the system multi-user, but people are getting work
done, and I'm not sure that it is worth the 20 mins if operator
time that it saves. Does anyone recall the answer?
	Thanks in advance,
		Howard.
