The Xerox 2700 laser printer

Shouldn't discussion of the 2700 be routed to "Laser-Lovers"?  That is,
after all, what the news group is for.  In answer to recent questions,
there is currently no way to send it a raster image unless that
information is encoded in a font that is then downloaded to the
printer.  Of course, this is very hard since the font file format is
proprietary information.  I have heard nothing about graphics support
`this fall'.
